Description

This prescription lens package will be fitted into your chosen eyewear and quality control checked by Eyekit prior to dispatch to ensure the quality and accuracy of your prescription. It comprises the following as summarised in the title:

Sports Lenses -These prescription lenses are made from polycarbonate. They are very strong, lightweight and thin. Most branded safety glasses, sports sunglasses and goggles are made from this material.

High Definition-These are high definition (HD) lenses use the latest free-form technology. They use a digital design process that gives lens designers the ability to reduce lens aberrations even more than they can using conventional lens design and processing techniques with the standard option. Lighter and thinner than standard lenses they provide exceptional night/low light vision reducing glare and halo effects from car headlights. They also offer exceptional contrast perception sharpening vision and improved colour rendition providing brighter and more intense colours. This is particularly important for higher prescriptions and highly curved lenses as it ensures they provide the best vision across the whole curvature of the lens avoiding optical distortions that can occur in the periphery area of vision. Recommended if your prescription is over 2 spheres.

PhotoPolar - There are three options to choose from dependent on your requirement:

1. Infinite Grey Lenses - NuPolar Infinite Grey are a new generation of prescription sun-wear products. They combine the award winning NuPolar polarisation technology with state of the art photochromic. NuPolar Infinite Grey offers the widest range of light transmittance while maintaining 99% polarisation efficiency. In its lightest state, it has 40% light transmittance providing great vision in overcast weather or even indoors. When fully activated, lens transmittance goes down to the lowest permissible level for driving reaching 9%, great for bright sunny days.

  • Lens Category – Cat. 2 to 3. With a visible light transmission of 40% to 9%, they are ideal for wearing in bright cloudy to sunny days.
  • Tint Colour - Grey

2. DriveWear Lenses - These are made from advanced Transitions photochromic technology and breakthroughs in NuPolar polarising technology. The photochromic lens which get darker or lighter in accordance with the intensity of visible light has been specially developed to work effectively behind car windshields. These DriveWear lenses are capable of sensing and reacting to varying light conditions both outside and behind the windshield of the car or aeroplane canopy. The polarising lens will eliminate glare from all reflective surfaces such as the road surface or other cars. Unlike other polarising lenses they have been developed to work across the photochromic range of the lens.

  • Lens Category – Cat. 2 to 3. With a visible light transmission of 35% to 12%, they are ideal for wearing in bright cloudy to sunny days.
  • Tint Colour - Amber

3. Transitions XTRActive Polarised Lenses - Made from advanced Transitions photochromic technology and breakthroughs in variable polarising technology. They are light reactive lenses that changes lens tint density with the changing light conditions providing comfortable vision whatever the light intensity.

  • Indoors - Lenses are clear with a hint of tint to provide extra protection from harsh blue light.
  • Behind the windshield of the car - Lenses darken to protect eyes from sunlight while driving. However, polarisation is not active.
  • Outdoors - Uniquely designed to darken according to the amount of light. The XTRActive dyes enable the lens to reach its darkest state inwhen the lens is at its darkest state. brightest light conditions.
  • Blinding glare conditions - Variable polarisation activates in bright outdoor conditions reaching a maximum of 90% polarisation efficiency when the lens is at its darkest state.
  • Lens Category Cat. 0 to 3. With a visible light transmission of clear to 12%, they are ideal for wearing in very low light conditions such as experienced in rain and fog to partially cloudy/sunny days. Ideal for wearers who require clear lenses indoors and at night that provide comfort and convenience by darkening outdoors dependent on the light conditions.
