This prescription lens package will be fitted into your chosen eyewear and quality control checked by Eyekit prior to dispatch to ensure the quality and accuracy of your prescription. It comprises the following as summarised in the title:
Office Varifocals - Effective office lens that provides a neutral switch from the computer screen to the immediate office environment. Provides sharp distance vision to enable you to speak to customers or colleagues at the other side of your desk without having to change your glasses but also provide crystal clear vision on the screen and desk surface.
- Distance Vision - You will be given 2 distance options to choose from - 4.0m and 6.0m across the office, enabling you to use them indoors similar to general varifocals.
- Intermediate Vision - Offers a larger intermediate viewing area than general varifocal lenses enabling you to see much more of a computer screen without having to lift your head.
- Near Vision - Offers a larger near viewing area than general varifocal lenses.
Lifestyle Lenses - These lenses are made from high quality CR39 resin which is the most common optical material for prescription glasses today. They provide very little distortion and are lighter and thinner than glass making them comfortable to wear. They are not recommended for impact sports/work environments as they can break.
Using the best of conventional lens technology, or entry level digital technology, these are high quality varifocal lenses that provide uninterrupted distance vision with smooth transition increasing power for intermediate and close up.
Photochromic -Also known as 'Transition' or 'Reaction' lens filters, photochromic lenses are a state-of-the-art, high contrast, light reactive lens that changes lens tint density with the changing light conditions providing comfortable vision whatever the light intensity.
Lens Category - Cat. 0 to 3. NEW: Transitions GEN 8. As indicted in the title this is the next generation lens after Transitions VII. It has been developed to be a light intelligent photochromic lens that is darker outdoors, clear indoors, with improved reaction and fade back speeds (Darkens up to 30% faster and fades back up to 3 minutes faster compared to transitions VII), all without compromising on protection and quality. The result of years of research and in-depth scientific studies, Transitions Signature GEN 8 is the first light intelligent photochromic lens with a revolutionary nano-composite technology that pushes photochromic performance and offers optimum vision, comfort and protection all day long. With a visible light transmission of 92% to 15%, they are ideal for wearing in very low light conditions such as experienced in rain and fog to sunny days. Ideal for wearers who require clear lenses indoors and at night that provide comfort and convenience by darkening outdoors dependent on the light conditions.
Crystal Vision - These lenses include our 'Crystal Clear' coatings. A multi-layer anti-reflective coating on both sides of the lens with hydrophobic top coat applied over a hard coat to give excellent visual performance and durability. Key benefits:
- Scratch Resistant Coating - Reduces scratching and abrasions over time, keeping the lens clearer for longer and maximising vision quality and useful life of the lens over non coated lenses.
- Anti-reflective Coating - Prevents those annoying reflections, eliminating interference glare and ghost images, reducing eye strain and improves vision.
- Hydrophobic Coating - This water repellent coating is similar to a wax coating on a car, it helps to shed water droplets and avoids smudging. Also, water is not attracted to the lens surface in humid conditions (steam, condensation etc). Ideal for outdoor use such as playing football on rainy days or for spray when sailing.

Please Note: After you have placed your order we will send the frame out to you for you to make sure they fit correctly and also for you to take a picture wearing them. If there is no one available to sign for your order, Royal Mail will leave a notification card and your order will be taken to your local post office where it will be available for collection. As an alternative, at checkout, you can change the delivery address to your workplace or another location where your parcel can be signed for.

Prescription Orders
Over 95% of orders dispatched are delivered within the timeframes stated above, however, due to the nature of the glazing process, we can not guarantee specific delivery dates on prescription orders. Prescription lenses are made to very high standards with low tolerance for errors and are rigorously checked at all stages of production. Any error in the prescription across the lens, deficiencies in the coating or blemishes that cannot be removed means the lens would need to go back in production and re-made. All prescription lenses are also rigorously checked at Eyekit before dispatch and any errors will mean that the lenses as sent back to the glazer for replacing. We have a zero tolerance for errors to ensure our customers receive prescription eyewear to the highest standards and we will not compromise on these standards even if it means delivering eyewear later than expected. Your eyesight is perhaps your most important sense and you deserve the best sight possible.
