Description

This Bolle Branded prescription lens package will include a credit card certificate for authenticity. It will be fitted into your chosen eyewear and quality control checked by Eyekit prior to dispatch to ensure the quality and accuracy of your prescription. It comprises the following as summarised in the title:

Bolle - These are high definition (HD) lenses which use the latest free-form technology incorporating Bolle’s B-thin/VARIODrive Technology where applicable (not compatible with prisms or applied to low prescriptions). They use a digital design process that gives lens designers the ability to reduce lens aberrations even more than they can using conventional lens design and processing techniques. Lighter and thinner than standard lenses they provide exceptional night/low light vision reducing glare and halo effects from car headlights. They also offer exceptional contrast perception sharpening vision and improved colour rendition providing brighter and more intense colours. This is particularly important for varifocals and highly curved lenses as it ensures they provide the best vision across the whole curvature of the lens avoiding optical distortions that can occur in the periphery area of vision. These prescription lenses are customised to compensate for lens curvature. This means that you will have clearer vision throughout your field of view compared to other lenses.

Sports Lenses - These prescription lenses are made from polycarbonate. They are very strong, lightweight and thin. Most branded safety glasses, sports sunglasses and goggles are made from this material.

Polarised - In this lens package you can choose a number of branded Bolle polarised options and filter categories. Polarised lenses filter out reflected light eliminating up to 98% of glare from surfaces such as concrete, buildings, roads, cars, snow or water ensuring purity of vision. Ideal for water sports and driving. Some options include a flash mirror coatings. Select your choice of Bolle prescription lens options from the prescription page menu as follows:

  • Axis - (Grey/Green), Category 3 with 16% light transmission factor (LTF). Increases contrast in green environments. Ideal for golf.
  • Bolle Brown Emerald - High Contrast Brown, Category 3 with 11% Light Transmission Factor (LTF). Ideal for Skiing, Driving and Tennis in sunny conditions. Reduces dazzle in high luminosity conditions.
  • Inland Gold - Amber lens, Category 3 with 14% LTF and gold mirror. Fights glare in medium light marine conditions. Ideal for water sports, skiing and tennis.
  • Offshore Blue - Grey, Category 3 with 10% LTF and blue mirror.  Minimises glare in bright marine conditions. Ideal for water sports.
  • TLB Dark - Brown, Category 3 with 12% light transmission. Dark brown lens are ideal for Skiing, Driving and Tennis in sunny conditions.
  • TNS - True neutral smoke grey, Category 3 with 10% light transmission. Neutral grey lens for bright conditions. Ideal for cycling or running. Also available as TNS Gun (14% LTF) with a silver mirror coating, TNS Fire (15% LTF) with a red mirror coating, TNS Ice (13% LTF) with a blue mirror coating and TNS Violet (12% LTF) with a purple mirror coating.

Options:

  • Anti-Reflective coating - These lenses are available, if selected, with Bolle's 'Anti-Reflective' coatings. In addition to the hard coating that is included on all lenses, it includes an additional anti-reflective coating which prevents those annoying reflections on the inside of the lens, eliminating interference glare and ghost images, reducing eye strain.
  • Mirror - Some options above include a flash mirror coating which is good for situations that require a reduction in the overall brilliance of light, such as sunlight on snow or roads.

Specification:

  • Lenses include Bolle's logo for authenticity and are customised to compensate for lens curvature.
  • Lens category 0 - 4 dependent on selection.
  • 100% UV protection.
  • RX Range +6.00 to -8.00. Opposite cyls to 4.00 (Higher powered prescriptions are available for certain styles. If needed, please contact us to check availability).

Please Note: It is our goal to provide the best in cosmetic and optically functional eyewear. Some Rx lenses and frame combinations are not ideally matched and may require a different frame choice. The thinning process of B-Thin/VARIODrive Technology is not compatible with prisms and may not be applied to low prescriptions, depending on frame width and PD measurement.
